Kroger Unveils Redesigned Web Site - Kroger.com

New tools and services will save customers time and money

CINCINNATI, Ohio, January 15, 2008 - Kroger.com, the website for The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), now has a new look and features a number of tools and services designed to enhance its customers' shopping experience and save them time and money.

"We know our customers are online, and we know that they are using the web to make their lives simpler," said Ken Fenyo, vice president of customer loyalty for Kroger. "The new Kroger.com offers our busy customers a set of tools and services that will help make their lives easier."

The revamped website has been dramatically updated so that it is easier for customers to navigate. In addition to an updated look, several tools have been added. Visitors to the site will be able to view interactive weekly circular ads that are unique to their select Kroger location, view a database of over 1,000 recipes, create shopping lists, print money-saving coupons and request samples of their favorite products. Customers can also shop for gifts such as flowers and gift cards in the gift center.

In addition to being easy to navigate and saving time and money - Kroger.com offers tools and services that are relevant to everyday life. Customers can use the site to:

  • Search or browse a wide range of over 1,000 recipes;
  • Pick up healthy living tips;
  • Read expert tips and helpful articles written by chefs, wine stewards, nutritionists and other Kroger associates;
  • Refill Pharmacy prescriptions, order flowers and buy Kroger gift cards;
  • Access seasonal Holiday planners that offer meal ideas, tips for leftovers and gift ideas;
  • Update their information and view Kroger Plus Card fuel rewards.
  • Sign up for email newsletters and weekly circular ads.
