Position Summary:
The Sales Operations Manager is a vital support role within the Coupons, Inc. organization and serves as a very important conduit between multiple Sales Executives and the various departments within the Coupons, Inc. organization. Reporting to the Director, Sales Operations and based in our Mountain View headquarters, the Sales Operations Manager will be the internal point person to help Sales Executives with order creation and revisions, financial bookings and forecasting and general management of paperwork and cross-departmental needs, along with other tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Insertion Orders - Creates insertion orders for the regional Sales Executives as requested, including original orders, revisions, addendum and internal orders. Will also work with Finance, Operations and Sales Executives to diagnose research and resolve any issues with insertion orders, which may include (but are not limited to): missing signatures, PO# concerns, assignment to appropriate Sales Executive or Account Manager, etc.
- Cross-Departmental Facilitator - Serves as the channel between Sales and other departments such as Legal, Finance, Marketing and Technical Services. Will manage and see to fruition all outstanding contractual issues, research and work with finance on any billing, insertion order or collection issues, calendar and prioritize Marketing needs and gather Sales input on special projects effecting Sales.
- Finance/Sales Specialist - Works with the Finance department to provide weekly updates on bookings accuracy and any revisions suggested by Sales. Assists in fine-tuning the forecasting process. Participates as a key player during the month-end process to resolve any open issues around insertion orders, PO#'s, unassigned accounts, etc.
- General Administration - Assists Sales Executives in tracking their insertion orders, history, campaign status, etc. Will help to define a universal filing/tracking method for insertion orders that is Sales specific. Works with Sales Executives to send pre-sale materials, prequalify first tier leads, get a better understanding of a client's needs, etc. as needed. Performs any special projects as assigned by the Regional and/or VP of Sales. Develops appropriate performance metrics and reports on all aspects of global distribution including sales pipeline, regional and individual performance, sales compensation, accounts level sales, performance against budget and sales field expenses.
