CONDIMENTS JUMP TO TOP COUPON CATEGORY IN MAY ACCORDING TO COUPONS.COM

Printed Savings on BBQ Items Increase in Time for Memorial Day

Mountain View, Calif. - June 10, 2009 - Condiments jumped to the No. 1 spot on the list of most popular online coupons categories printed in May, according to Coupons.com, the leading network for digital coupons. Other hot categories, including Cheese (No. 4), Salad Dressing (No. 5), Powdered Beverage Mix (No. 7) and Cooking Sauces (No. 10), leaped onto the Top 10 list, as Americans took the heat off their wallets for the kickoff of summer barbeque season.

"May unofficially marked the beginning of the summer grilling season, as millions of Americans celebrated Memorial Day with family and friends by firing up the grill," said Steven Boal, CEO of Coupons, Inc. "It's no surprise that so many barbeque-related coupon categories advanced into the Top 10 last month. Consumers stocked up on all their cook-out necessities, while taking advantage of in-store holiday sales and deep discount offers to keep costs down."

Crackers, Salty Snacks and Dessert Items also advanced into the Top 10, taking the No. 2, No.6 and No. 9 spots, respectively. Ready to Eat Cereal fell from its long-time top position to No. 3, while Pizza moved up a notch to No. 8. The ranking is based on the number of coupon prints by category on Coupons.com and sites across the Coupons.com publisher network.

Shoppers printed more coupon savings from the Coupons.com publisher network in May 2009 than any other month in the company's history. More than 40 million people currently print online coupons, up 20 percent from last year according to Simmons Market Research Bureau. In the same time period, the number of people that only print coupons from the Internet and never use newspaper coupons has risen a dramatic 46 percent to six million Americans. Coupons.com is the No. 1 site on the Internet for Coupons/Rewards according to Nielsen NetRatings. The Coupons.com publisher network reaches more than 75 million consumers through thousands of Web sites, including Coupons.com and shopper's favorite name brand Web sites and grocery and drug store sites.
