Finance:
Corporate Controller (Ref: 640CON521002)

Position Summary:

The Corporate Controller is responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions for the organization. You will direct and manage day-to-day operations of the accounting functions, including but not limited to the general ledger, revenue, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets and cash management. You will be responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting and will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective controls, policies and systems, and developing them in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. This position reports to the CFO.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates overall accounting activities; sets, interprets, and implements policies and controls; directs all accounting transactions, record keeping and reporting.
  • Detailed management and review of finance department’s daily and month-end close activities. 
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial agreements for revenue recognition purposes applying applicable GAAP requirement.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly financial reports.
  • Reviews present financial and accounting procedures and policies.
  • Implements changes and modifications to accounting operations designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend and direct operating policies and control procedures, and ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of accounting functions/processes. Evaluate and implement systems as appropriate to support the company's growth.
  • Manages audit requirements and work with the auditors.
  • Works with senior management team to support ongoing operational needs and ensures that operational financial requirements are aligned with budget.

Position Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably including Manager level experience at a Big 4 CPA Firm, and prior Controller experience at both public and private companies.
  • Ability to create and manage complex accounting and reporting systems – preferably with prior experience in a consumer internet, software, or social networking environment.
  • Expert at using Great Plains/FRX and Quickbooks.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage staff associated with completion of their projects.
  • Successful management experience in accounting and audit procedures and operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, systems development and organizational management.
  • Experience with SEC Reporting, and SOX.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, verbal and presentation skills. Clear and concise communicator.
  • Motivated team player with flexible, hardworking, “can-do” approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume transaction, ever changing environment.
