Engineering:

Front End Engineer (Ref: 310FEE231015S)

Position Summary:

As a key member of Coupons, Inc. development team, you will create world-class front end software and help build the platform for our cutting-edge online consumer coupons product. You will develop and maintain highly scalable systems and contribute to all aspects of the software development cycle. The ideal software engineering candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, be independent, self motivated, able to work efficiently in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Design and develop highly scalable, 24/7 consumer internet applications.
Work independently completing small to large sized projects while managing competing priorities in a demanding production environment.
Deliver on projects from end to end (documentation to production grade code to support procedures) while functioning within the process and disciplines established in the Engineering team.
Work collaboratively among groups within engineering (QA, Database Administration, and Network Ops) and outside engineering to drive allocated projects to completion.
Actively participate in high level engineering team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluations.

Position Qualifications:

BS in CS (or equivalent) and 2 – 8 years of hands-on software design and development experience or data and mathematical analysis.
Strong hands on skills in - Web Technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL, CSS, AJAX, solid understanding of HTTP protocol).
Experience in standards-compliant efficient CSS and HTML
Experience developing in a Windows environment is a plus, but candidates with Linux, UNIX or Solaris experience will be considered.
Ideal (but not required) skills/experience working with complex data models, large databases, extensive reporting and data analysis.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to maintain good technical document.
Keen ability to understand end user experience and business needs.
Strongly prefer candidates who have internet and/or start-up company experience.

Good to have qualifications:

ASP.Net, working knowledge of OOP ( 1 or more among Java/C#/PHP), DBMS (SQL/Oracle)
Keen to learn about new frameworks and languages.
