Steven R. Boal President & Chief Executive Officer

A former Wall Street executive, Steven Boal founded Coupons.com Incorporated in 1998 and is responsible for its strategic and operational direction. Mr. Boal previously served as vice president of business development for Integral Development Corporation, a privately held financial software company in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Mr. Boal was vice president and head of global emerging markets derivative technology at J.P. Morgan. Before that, he was president of OptEdge, a real-time options, analytics and risk management business. Mr. Boal also held various management positions at TriStar Market Data, most recently running the company’s Montgomery Securities division. He holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

Brian Weisfeld Chief Operating Officer

Brian Weisfeld brings a wealth of large-scale operational experience to Coupons.com Incorporated and oversees the day-to-day operations of the rapidly growing company. Before joining Coupons.com Incorporated, Mr. Weisfeld spent four years as executive vice president of operations at Westcon Group, a $3 billion revenue technology distribution company where he oversaw the company’s worldwide operations and human resources and managed international divisions. Mr. Weisfeld led the company’s M&A activity and was responsible for five acquisitions totaling over $100 million. Prior to joining Westcon, Mr. Weisfeld served as senior vice president of operations at IMAX Corporation, after his three-person firm purchased the company and grew it to a more than a $1 billion peak valuation. Mr. Weisfeld started his career as an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody & Co. and as a private equity investor. Mr. Weisfeld holds a B.B.A. from The University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Michael R. Walsh Chief Security Officer & Head of Research & Development

Responsible for technology direction and development at Coupons.com Incorporated, Mike Walsh has been writing software professionally since 1985, contributing to a wide range of products, including compiler tools, electronic publishing software and AI predictive technology. Before joining Coupons.com Incorporated, Mr. Walsh served as chief architect at TriStar Market Data, Inc., the developers of MarketMax, a real-time stock-quote distribution system. Prior to that, he served as a senior software engineer for Harlequin, Inc., as vice president of product development for Torque Systems, as QA consultant for Apple Inc., and as staff software engineer for Arthur Andersen. Mr. Walsh holds a B.S. from California Institute of Technology and an M.S. from Northwestern University. 

Richard Hornstein Chief Financial Officer

Richard (Rich) Hornstein oversees all of Coupons.com Incorporated’s financial and accounting functions, including finance, financial planning & analysis, payroll and tax. He joined the company in 2009 and brings more than 20 years of financial management experience and over a decade of experience as a chief financial officer of both public and private companies, including rapid-growth and international organizations. Mr. Hornstein joined Coupons.com from Financial Intelligence, an accounting services firm, where he was managing director. Before that, he was chief financial officer at LogLogic, Inc., a provider of log and security management solutions. Prior to LogLogic, Mr. Hornstein was chief financial officer for Elemental Security, a provider of security software policy and risk management solutions, and served as chief financial officer of OpenTV Corp, a publicly traded interactive television software company. Before that, he was chief financial officer and general counsel of Resonate, Inc., a publicly traded traffic control and system management company, and also served as general counsel, SVP of corporate development and SVP of taxation for McAfee Associates, Inc. He has also worked for the Big Four accounting firms of Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and KPMG. Mr. Hornstein holds a B.A. in Accounting from Queens College, a J.D. from Duke University, and a Masters in Law degree in Taxation from New York University. Mr. Hornstein received his certification as a public accountant in New York in 1987.

Steve Horowitz Chief Technology Officer

Steve Horowitz is responsible for Coupons.com Incorporated’s worldwide engineering, product management and technology efforts and brings vast experience leading the development of innovative and scalable products at Apple, Microsoft and Google. Prior to Coupons.com, Mr. Horowitz was at Google, Inc. where he spent three years as engineering director leading the team responsible for the Android mobile operating system and platform. Prior to his work at Google, Mr. Horowitz spent almost nine years at Microsoft in leadership roles developing and shipping a range of consumer products including IPTV, Windows Media Center Edition, UltimateTV, Dishplayer, and WebTV. He was also one of the earliest employees at Be, Inc., where he played a key role in developing and then introducing the BeOS to the world at the Agenda 95 conference to a standing ovation. Mr. Horowitz began his career at Apple Inc. where he spent six years working on Macintosh products and technologies, including the first extensible Macintosh Control Panel, which he developed at Apple during a summer internship while attending college at the University of Michigan.                 

Jon Schwartz Vice President of Sales

Jon Schwartz joined Coupons.com Incorporated in January 2007 to lead the company’s efforts to shift marketers to online coupon programs. Prior to joining Coupons.com, Mr. Schwartz spent six years as a vice president at Yahoo, Inc., leading Yahoo's central, western, and then international sales regions. Prior to joining Yahoo, he spent thirteen years in media sales and sales management, most recently as director of sales at Clear Channel Communications in Dallas. Mr. Schwartz holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Bob Gonzales Vice President of Operations

Bob Gonzales brought his experience in project management, process automation, and business systems to Coupons.com Incorporated in 2000. He oversees the internal operations of the company’s promotions, direct mail, and clearing lines of business and is responsible for all post-sale client service. Before joining Coupons.com, Mr. Gonzales helped build a successful consulting firm specializing in business systems development, doubling revenues in his first two years as vice president of development. Earlier, he held management positions in the import/export industry and was a licensed customs broker. He began his career in the concert tour merchandising division of Bill Graham Productions. 

Lauren Gage Segal – Vice President and General Counsel

Lauren Gage Segal oversees Coupons.com Incorporated’s legal department, including licensing, litigation, partner agreements, implementation and compliance of legal policies as well as stock, IP, M&A and other corporate legal initiatives. Ms. Segal joined the company in 2007 and brings over 20 years of legal experience working for both B2B and B2C corporations and private law firms. She spent nine years at Oracle, where her responsibilities ran the gamut from commercial litigation to securities law and from intellectual property law to policymaking. After Oracle, Ms. Segal consulted for a variety of organizations, including Gap Inc., where she provided licensing and IP services for the Brand Services department. Prior to her in-house career, Ms. Segal spent five years at international law firms in San Francisco and Los Angeles, where she provided litigation and licensing services for multinational and domestic organizations. Ms. Segal holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Margie Mader-ClarkVice President of Human Resources

Margie Mader-Clark oversees all of Coupons.com Incorporated’s human resources functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and performance management, workforce planning, organizational development and facilities. Ms. Mader-Clark brings more than 20 years of human resource experience, including a decade at the executive level. Over the course of her career, Ms. Mader-Clark has held a range of positions at high-growth companies—from startups to global organizations—including Netscape and Hyperion. She is a best-selling author for Nolo Press and a sought-after speaker on organizational design and development topics. Ms. Mader-Clark holds a B.A. in English from University of California at Berkeley.
